Follow The Arrow
WoW Content creator, Harldan, has designed a free addon that puts an arrow on your screen, directing you to the next quest, location, or objective that will reward your character with the most efficient means of leveling.
The addon, called Follow The Arrow, has routes for various leveling options. Whether you're brand new to the game and you're looking to level your first character, or you just want to skip the Midnight campaign and get straight into leveling, this addon has you covered! Along with an arrow above your character's head, the addon also provides step-by-step instructions on what to do next.
The addon currently contains multiple routes for 80-90 leveling. One of the routes is for the Midnight 80-90 Campaign, and it's meant to be done on your first character.
Dystinct Earthen Skyriding
If you're looking for the absolute fastest way to get a new character to max level, the best option appears to be leveling an Earthen and exploring Azeroth, while using the Dystinct Earthen Skyriding addon. Originally introduced in The War Within, all Earthen benefit from the Wide-Eyed Wonder racial, which allows them to level extremely quickly, just from exploration.
Several players have recommended this method, claiming to reach level 90 in under 3 hours! The one downside is that you will be stuck playing an Earthen. However, you can always purchase a Race Change from the Battle.net Store for $25. While a bit pricey, it is a much cheaper alternative than purchasing the Level 80 Character Boost, especially if you have a couple of hours to spare.
