Dealing with Mana Batteries in Nexus-Point Xenas

While clearing up to Chief Corewright Kasreth in Nexus-Point Xenas, watch out for Mana Batteries before they wipe your group!

What is a Mana Battery?
Mana Batteries are found in the left wing of Nexus-Point Xenas. Mana Batteries cast Corespark Overload, a 12-second cast that causes the battery to explode for massive raid-wide damage. In higher Mythic+ dungeons, letting a Mana Battery explode will wipe the group.

It is crucial to defeat Mana Batteries before their Corespark Overload cast goes off.

Flux Engineers and Circuit Seers
A few Mana Batteries are found lying throughout this wing. Mana Batteries can additionally spawn from defeating Flux Engineers.

While progressing through the wing, Tanks need to keep note of where they are positioning the patrolling Circuit Seer elites. Circuit Seers have a passive named Circuit Sense. Circuit Sense causes nearby devices, including Mana Batteries, to surge.

If a Circuit Seer is brought too close to a Mana Battery, it will begin casting Corespark Overload. It takes 3 pulses from the Circuit Seer before the Mana Battery starts the cast. If you notice a battery starting to surge, you have one of two options:

Move the Circuit Seer away from the Mana Battery.

Start hitting the Mana Battery and destroy it before the cast starts.

Do not let Circuit Seers near any Mana Batteries lying on the floor!

Remember that Midnight Engineers and Rogues can disable the tripwires throughout the hallway and create a different path to the boss. This helps avoid tripping additional batteries altogether, which could be useful in your next Nexus-Point Xenas run.
