With the release of Patch 12.0.5, the Hall of Fame has closed. Usually this results in a couple nerfs to the encounter, but with the Hall of Fame closing and Patch 12.0.5 with many class changes, Blizzard appears to be buffing Mythic Alleria.
The Patch 12.0.5 notes were just updated during NA maintenance with the following last-minute change:
THE VOIDSPIRE
Crown of the Cosmos
Aspect of the End now pierces immunities.
Gravity Collapse damage decreased by 10%.
Players used Immunities heavily on Phase 3 of Mythic Alleria to make the encounter easier. Things like Blessing of Protection and Divine Shield were very common, as they prevented one (or more) applications of Aspect of the End. There are 6 casts of Aspect of the End in Phase 3, and it's very common for at least 3 of them (if not more) to be immuned:
The 1st is done by a Devourer DH
The 2nd is done by a Paladin Bubble
The 4th is done by a Paladin BoP
Aspect of the End targets the main target, a ranged and a melee. If a ranged or melee taunt and get targeted by the specific one as well, they actually immune 2 of the effects, leaving only one. While I do think that immunities should be fixed on this encounter, a 10% nerf to Gravity Collapse definitely does not outweigh the increase in difficulty from always having 3 tethers. The Aspect of the End damage will increase by 50% to 100% per wave, increasing the chances of someone dying to burst damage, and there will be increased coordination due to having extra tethers, and knocks.
Most of all, why now? Usually the Hall of Fame results in a nerf to the bosses, not a buff.
