Don’t Complete the Campaign to Maintain Dark Mode in March on Quel’Danas

Completing the Midnight raid campaign will change the skybox throughout Silvermoon, but did you know that it will also update inside the March on Quel'Danas raid as well?

Really changes the whole vibe of this big bad void invasion, doesn't it?

Upon completing the War of Light and Shadow, the skybox in both Silvermoon and Quel'Danas is restored to its natural state, but while the outdoor city resumes a natural day and night cycle, the instanced raid zone is left permanently bright.

For players progressing on Belo'ren, this may actually prove to be a bit of a hinderance, as the bright landscape can make it harder to distinguish some of the encounter's spell effects. It doesn't make a whole lot of narrative sense either, but beyond that, the overly bright environment may also become a source of eye strain for players spending many long hours progressing through the raid, so some players may choose to not to finish the campaign in order to reduce fatigue.

Marching on Quel'Danas doesn't make as much sense with the area lit by a reignited Dawnwell, does it?

Alternatively, the Inky Black Potion potion can be used to make things even darker still, providing some cool lighting and a change in contrast which may help make some of those spell effects appear more distinct. Or players can go the other route entirely, using the Stinky Bright Potion variant to bask in sunshine at all times! Learning to manipulate these potions to make specific effects more visible is an under appreciated strategy that many raiders employ, so consider giving it a shot the next time those circles on the ground seem a little too hard to see.

Inky Black and Stinky Bright actually actually go beyond normal lighting and can make some environments look quite different!
