Hero Dawncrests from Nightmare Prey Quest Now Count Towards Cap

Previously awarding uncapped crests, the Nightmare Prey weekly quest has been updated so the 20 Hero Dawncrests now count towards the seasonal cap, reducing the quests gearing value.

Crests from Nightmare Prey Quest Capped
We previously highlighted a valuable source of uncapped Hero Dawncrests from the A Nightmarish Task weekly Prey quest. However, as of the latest weekly reset, the crests now count towards the seasonal weekly cap based on testing in-game.

While this does reduce the value of completing this weekly quest, it does still reward a Beacon of Hope as a way to get a guaranteed Hero-track gear piece. So while it may no longer be a required activity for players, it does still retain some value depending on your current gear level.

For those that need a refresher, as part of the Prey gameplay loop players are given A Nightmarish Task each week once they have unlocked Nightmare Prey Hunts. To unlock Nightmare Prey Hunts, players will need to reach Renown 4 in the Prey track and complete a short questline.

Once you have the quest, you will need to complete 3 Nightmare Hunts. Completing Prey Hunts quickly can be quickly accomplished by focusing on disarming traps.
Are you disappointed to see these crests be capped or glad this quest no longer feels as required? How are you enjoying the Prey systems a few weeks into the Season?
