Push Back the Void in the Stormarion Assault World Event

Of the many new activities in Midnight, players may find themselves in a desperate defense against the void during the Stormarion Assault world event!

The only world event that requires players to be level 90 to fully engage with its systems, the Stormarion Assault is a 15-minute
tower defense-style siege, in which players help the Singularity faction defend the Stormarion Citadel against the Devouring Host, who launch repeated assaults to take back the area. Every 30 minutes, the onslaught begins anew, making it a repeatable world event, though it only needs to be done once to complete Stand Your Ground each week to earn a Victorious Stormarion Pinnacle Cache.

The void is relentless.

The first stage gives players five minutes to spend Stormarion Cores obtained from quests and chests to construct a variety of defenses to attack, weaken, and slow enemy forces.

After the preparation phase ends, players need to defend against three waves of assaults, in which enemies press in on all sides, rushing towards the Singularity Anchor in the middle of the arena. Enemies will ignore players unless engaged.

The Singularity Anchor will one shot any enemy that reaches it, consuming 1 out of its 100 health. Though it will be healed by Ren'dorei allies, they won't keep up with the assault without help.

The first and second waves are followed by a shorter preparation phase in which additional defenses can be constructed, before the third and final assault.

As an open world event, anyone can contribute to the defense, greatly mitigating the cost.

Cracked Core: Increases movement speed by 20% and reduces damage taken by 20% for 2 minutes.

Unstable Explosive Device: Deals Cosmic damage to all enemies in the impact area, and stuns them for 1 second.

Illegal Cosmic Emitter: Deals increasing Cosmic damage to an enemy as you channel the beam.

Additional defenses can be purchased from Xy'dax within the arena.

And that's it! There's no currency to grind, vendor wares to unlock, or other explicit reward from this event, aside from a handful of achievements and the weekly quest.
