With the regular season ending, some players were concerned that Season 3 items could no longer be upgraded, though of course that is not the case. However, while we learned that Valorstones would be removed in Midnight, this does not appear to be taking effect until the next season, after the full expansion launch.
This means you'll still need those pesky stones to change itemization or upgrade catch-up gear earned during the upcoming Pre-Patch event, so you may want to stock up before gearing any new alts.
Valorstones are now Warbound transferrable!
They're not too difficult to get though. Not only do they drop from practically every activity, Valorstones can now be transferred across characters, allowing you to funnel them to whichever alt needs them the most. If you still need a few more, Worldsoul Memories can be a quick and easy way to farm several hundred, provided you have the Radiant Echoes currency from completing bountiful delves, and any leftover Algari Token of Merit from unwanted Great Vault rewards can be traded for one Golden Valorstone each.
Valorstones can be purchased or farmed, then transferred to whichever character needs them.
