Problem Summary

There are a lot of problems with the damage meter currently and many players will be losing a lot of functionality without Details. You can watch Zorthas' video for a massive breakdown of the issues but here are some of the biggest issues with the current damage meter:

The damage meter automatically clears all data when zoning out, or when you d/c. Want to look at breakdowns? You better do it before you get zoned out from the /abandon vote.

There is no death recap. The only way to determine how someone died is through logs.

Breakdowns are very hard to read and don't give the information people are looking for:
There is no percentage when viewing ability breakdowns.

Pets are placed at the bottom of the breakdown.

Abilities are broken into multiple parts (e.g. Immolation Aura)

Self damage, friendly fire damage and enemy healing is counted as a player's damage/healing.

Interrupt and dispel breakdown is counted by the spell used and not the spell that it was used on.

There is no combat timer.

The UI is non-intuitive, especially for users swapping from Details:
Right-click brings up the breakdown instead of left click.

In order to change categories you have to use the drop-down instead of right-clicking which is a large Quality-of-Life loss.
