Seasonal Content Could Return Permanently in the Future – Diablo 4 Season 10

On Social Media, Director of Social & Content Marketing, Adam Fletcher, said that the Diablo 4 team is considering making Seasonal additions permanent. Currently, Diablo 4 is in a time when the community as a whole is becoming increasingly restless for change. Since Season 7 in early 2025, Seasonal Powers have become the norm for a new Diablo patch. Still, their rehashing has noticeably fatigued the player base, and Season 10 is no different, featuring the new Chaos Powers.

While many powers are new, the total package of three minor powers, one major power, and upgrading them with the Seasonal currency from the latest limited-time Seasonal Mechanic has remained unchanged across the four seasons. Making some of the Seasonal Content permanent would not only broaden the range of activities available, but it could also introduce new permanent power systems and expand the game as a whole. Adam's reply seems to imply that the Diablo 4 team agrees and wants to make those additions later on.

Sentiment around Seasonal Powers came front and center during last week's Burning Questions video from the Diablo 4 Developers, where the question of Seasonal Mechanics becoming a permanent part of the core game was asked directly to Class Designer Charles Dunn. His answer implied that most of the content they design for a season is already made with Eternal Realms and the Base Game in mind, making note that Blizzard is happy with Seasonal Powers being a layer on top of the game that gets reset every season.

Could Fletcher's response signal that other content, such as Headhunts from Season of Witchcraft, might be making a return in the future? It might be too early to tell, but with an Expansion planned for early 2026, it might be a consideration to expand the endgame systems.
