Reputation Exploits Earn Swift Bans for Players Ahead of Season 3 Launch

World of Warcraft players are no strangers to bugs on patch launches, and Patch 11.2 was no different. It seems like every major update, players find new and inventive ways to exploit these bugs to earn unintended currency, loot, and recently, Renown - but this time, Blizzard was ready. Less than one full week after the launch of Ghosts of K'aresh, players are reporting ban waves targeting those who exploited reputation gains, and the 10-day bans are just in time for rulebreakers to miss out on the Manaforge Omega raid launch.

10 Day Ban for Exploit

We recently posted a warning that reputation exploits were found, warning players to not participate in them as Blizzard has historically been strict with reputation exploits. Players were able to complete Sparks of War: K'aresh for reputation on every alt, in addition to some other reputation exploits. Players who participated in this now appear to have been punished.

Players who exploited K'aresh reputation appear to have been banned for 10 days, according to multiple sources. Multiple Reddit users also have been posting on this topic. Normally players are able to get around Renown 9 to 10 naturally and only people who exploited appear to have been punished.
