During the Patch 9.1.5 developer update a few days ago, we learned that new weather patterns would be coming to Stormwind and Orgrimmar, but those effects appear to already be applied to live servers! Players idling in either of the two faction capitals may occasionally experience overcast weather including darkened skies, rain, and the sound of distant thunder.
