2010 Arena Tournament Phase 2 Has Begun
Phase 2 of the 2010 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament has begun. Tournament participants have had ample time during the practice phase to hone their strategies, try various team compositions, and get used to playing with their team. It’s now time to play for keeps. To track the progress of your team and competition, please visit the World of Warcraft Armory and select the Coliseum battlegroup. Top teams will earn a chance to participate in live events, including the global finals being held at BlizzCon. If you have not yet registered for the tournament, you can still do so until June 7. Jay Mohr at BlizzCon 2010
Comedian and actor Jay Mohr will be returning to BlizzCon this year to serve as master of ceremonies for the live costume contest and other contests on the first night of the show. Jay is the star of the popular television show Gary Unmarried, and is known for his roles in movies like Jerry Maguire and for creating, producing, and hosting the successful TV series Last Comic Standing. We’ll have more info to share about the Friday-night contests and other events at BlizzCon in the months leading up to the show, so keep your eye on BlizzCon.com for more details.

BlizzCon 2010 Tickets On Sale June 2 and June 5
Tickets to this year’s BlizzCon gaming convention, being held on October 22 and 23 in Anaheim, California, will go on sale worldwide on Wednesday, June 2 at 7 p.m. Pacific time for $150 each, with a second block of tickets going on sale Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
For those unable to attend, DIRECTV will once again be televising BlizzCon in high definition as a Pay Per View event, featuring coverage from the show floor, exclusive interviews, demos, and more. In addition, players around the world will be able to purchase the Pay Per View event as a multichannel Internet stream, allowing viewers online to switch between coverage of multiple panels and activities during the show.

Taverncraft and FigurePrints Contest

Cataclysm Beta Opt-In
Get those opt-ins ready for the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm closed beta! The sundering of Azeroth is nigh, and you don’t want to be left out in the cold of Northrend when you could be enjoying the sun-drenched beaches on the goblin isle of Kezan. To ensure you’re opted-in and eligible as a potential candidate, you’ll need a World of Warcraft license attached to your Battle.net account, have your current system specifications uploaded to the Battle.net Beta Profile Settings page, and have expressed interest through the franchise-specific check boxes.
