Gear Up For Brewfest!
A new holiday is sweeping through Azeroth and Outland; beginning on October 3, there will be a celebration of the fine art of brewing: Brewfest! Hardy adventurers are invited to stop by the brewers’ tents outside of Ironforge and Orgrimmar to sample their selected, and exotic, fare. But, Brewfest is about more than just fine brews. Heroes of the Horde and Alliance can also help their preferred vendors to spread their fame throughout the land. Check out our Brewfest page to learn more about this hearty new holiday!
Those who plan to attend this fest can begin preparing themselves for the feasting by stopping in on the Harvest Festival this week!

Patch 2.2.0 Is Live!
The latest content patch for World of Warcraft, Patch 2.2, is live. This patch contains improvements to the chat interface, video capture for the Mac client, and Voice Chat. Please note that the Voice Chat feature will not be enabled for European realms until October 3rd. For more information about the implementation of this feature, please read this thread.

Arena Calculator
The Arena Calculator is a new tool that allows you to do a number of helpful calculations for when and how you can spend your arena points. Choose one of the three useful calculators to help you answer the following questions:
- How many arena points will I earn this week?
- What’s the average rating I’ll need to get my desired arena reward?
- When can I expect to get my desired arena reward?

Preview: Brewfest
Celebrated by both the Horde and the Alliance, the Brewfest is a time to enjoy the fermented fruits of the harvest: pretzels, cheese, and booze! The competing breweries Thunderbrew, Barleybrew, and the Ogres, all come together outside of all the major cities in a bid to outdo each other with their special ales, meads, and beers.

Patch 2.2.0 is Live
The World of Warcraft team is happy to announce the release of the new 2.2.0 content patch.
Highlights of Patch 2.2.0:
- Voice Chat: The new Voice Chat feature is now available. Players will need
to go into the Options menu under Sound & Voice to activate it. - Mac Movie Capture: The Mac client can now capture in-game video to QuickTime movie files using a configurable choice
of codec, resolution, and frame rate.
